Coaching Questions:

A movement of God is fueled by The Kingdom, then ‘manifested’ by the church (God’s people). Movement thinking, Kingdom position, Harvest Focus = Missionary Church, Missionary Disciples, and Missionary Leaders. DNA is key before ‘operating systems’!

What % of your conversations, bullet points on your meeting agendas, and content of your vision casting is Kingdom?

a. How many sermons have you preached on Kingdom in the last year? How many on Church? (they can be more one in the SAME when you are preaching and teaching Kingdom position)

b. How do you help every believer that comes through your process understand what the Kingdom is about EARLY; how they are part of The King’s reign wherever they go; and, how they are best wired to manifest the Kingdom to others? In your ‘new member or partner’ process do you talk Kingdom first or church first? How will you help the disciples you’re making know WHO they are in Christ and communicate the power and goodness of the Good News?

c. How does Kingdom influence how you will define ‘disciple’ and design ‘spiritual formation’?

d. How does Kingdom influence how you will spend a portion of your time in your city – engaging The Kingdom, not just a kingdom? How would your weekly schedule change?

e. How can you use Kingdom stories (its power, its manifestation, its advance, its influence) from other churches in your city and around the world to develop missionary disciples and leaders with Kingdom vision? Are you making disciples who are aware of Kingdom movements around the world and Kingdom collaboration in your city?

f. Kingdom partnerships ‘for your city’: What is your first step? Making a list of pastors in your ‘circle’ and praying for them? Meeting them? What are your thoughts on the quadrants? Remember: Kingdom is the END. What a disciple does; who a leader is; and, how a church functions are all a MEANS to an END. It will shock the system to address operating systems without healthy DNA to fuel them.

g. Kingdom scorecards ‘for your city’: There is the danger of ‘doing stuff’ versus establishing Kingdom presence and networking with ‘Kingdom friendly’ people who also have a heart for the city. Example: ‘We have deployed 100 reading mentors as a church’ versus ‘we know of a Kingdom presence (mentors, teachers, personnel) in 5 of 9 schools in our circle and are partnering with a mentoring group who has a heart for our schools.

Remember: Kingdom is the END. What a disciple does; who a leader is; and, how a church functions are all a MEANS to an END. It will shock the system to address operating systems without healthy DNA to fuel them.

1) 3x – Will YOU pray by name for 3 people far from God but close to you? Can WE get to 3x?

a. How are YOU doing getting to 3x?

b. How can WE as a group help to build our relationships with 3x? (block party; outing; etc.)

c. How can this help you see yourself as a missionary/reconciler? How display God’s glory?

2) 3 Things that would change the most, if Gospel unhindered, in your neighborhood? Our city?

a. Spend time praying for one or more of those things as a core team. Split up team and pray about all 3 – (orphans, poverty, marriages, loneliness, generosity, addictions, racism, etc.)

b. Brainstorm to discover a ‘sweet spot’ – “Where could we serve and make a difference now?”

c. How can this help you see yourself as a missionary/reconciler? How display God’s glory?

3) 3% culture church planting partners?

a. How are missionary disciples, leaders, and churches reaching people/planting in the Northeast, Northwest, Atlantic coast, Canada? How can partnering there help us better reach ‘nones’ here?

b. Do we expect the lost to come to us? How do we fish in the pond of those who truly need God?

4) 3rd world global connection?

a. Where can we connect around the world; what indigenous leaders could we hear from as a guest here; what do we know about what God is doing in movements around the world?

b. What do we need to learn from them? What do we need to embrace to be part of a movement here? How can we spend more time as a group in ‘movement’ oriented ‘activities’.
